Being a keyboardist or a musician in general means that you should know what brands offer you durable and high-quality instruments for the best price. That’s why we recommend you the Korg keyboards.

Korg's digital keyboards offer durable, yet rather expensive, instruments for experienced musicians who find themselves doing a decent amount of performing or touring.

Korg digital keyboards are generally made by other musicians, for this reason, they have a slight creative edge over the competition because they understand from experience what people need from an instrument.

-For the amateur musician, we suggest Korg's SP-280.
-For the experienced musician, we recommend the Korg LP-380

If you are looking for instruments made by and for musicians, Korg is the brand for you.

Additionally, at Atlanta Institute of Music and Media, we offer intermediate keyboardists the Music and Technology Associate Degree program! You can check that here: https://www.aimm.edu/programs/degree/keyboard

If you are an established keyboardist or a beginner, the process of choosing a keyboard to buy when there’s plenty of options, brands, types, and even colors, can be a little overwhelming situation. One of the most recommended keyboards we know will work for you is the Roland keyboards.

Roland keyboards are wonderful for their similarities to real pianos. They offer a sound that mimics the tone of a Grand Piano so well that if you close your eyes you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

If Roland is what you are looking for, we recommend these depending on your level of skills:

-For the amateur musician, we recommend the GO: KEYs
-For the experienced musician, try Roland's next-generation RD-2000 Stage Piano

Besides having an incredible instrument, getting the perfect guide to help you get your career started is also a great option. At Atlanta Institute of Music and Media, we have the Music and Technology Associate Degree Program for keyboardists.

But how can you know if the college you are interested in is actually the best option for you? Here’s a little bit small tip to be aware of when searching: Virtual Open House Events

While you’re dealing with the stress of narrowing down potential music school options, here is a question to ask yourself: how are the music schools assisting your decision? Whats the best way to get your music on the radio?

Tips to Submit Your Song to a Radio Station

When it comes to new artists promoting their music, there is an abundance of options and opportunities available.

However, having a variety of options can be a little overwhelming and can make it difficult to find the best methods that suit your ambition, needs, and means.

We live in a world of instant gratification and music lovers can find a new song at pretty much any turn. That being said, getting your music played on the radio is still one of the most effective ways to get your music to the masses.

Up until very recently, having one of your songs played on the radio was a luxury, something that only artists signed to major labels benefited from.

However, times are certainly changing, and new alternatives are being put into place to encourage the discovery of new artists on the radio.

But airplay can still be tricky to secure, so you'll need to be patient and take the right steps.

So, what are the best ways to get your music on the radio?

We'll answer that question in the article below.

Choosing a school where to invest your time de...

Choosing a school where to invest your time, dedication and a few years of your life can be overwhelming. Imagine twice that pressure when choosing from distance or online. That’s why there are some key points you should look for specifically to help you decide where to apply to. One of these is this: Who Are the Alumni?

Every music college will tell you that once you graduate with your degree or certificate that the sky is your limit. While this may sound exciting, how do you know that the opportunity is truly there? A good idea is to spend a little time looking into the music college's alumni. You shouldn't have to do a ton of research here. Music Schools should have a page dedicated to their alumni and lists of their accomplishments.

It should be said, however, to take a reasonable approach with alumni. If you don't recognize any alumni from a school does that mean they are a failure of an institute? Absolutely not. Between hard work, connections, and a little luck, many high-profile artists never attended a music college.

Instead of just simply looking at the list of alumni names, take note of their achievements. Where do they work? Who have they worked with? Have they earned any awards? The answers to those questions should give you insight into how the music college's alumni do after graduation.

Have you been interested in applying to an online music college but you are not sure? Here’s a tip to help you choose the perfect place for you during the pandemic:

-Look at Reviews
If you're stuck between two restaurants that serve similar food, how will you choose between them? The one with the higher reviews, most likely. That is what statistics say, as 90% of consumers read online reviews before visiting a business. Choosing a music college is no different.

Take the time to check reviews, whether it be Google, Facebook, or wherever you'd like to search.

See what current and past students like and don't like. Make sure the aspects of a music college you prioritize are held in high regard and take notes on what students say could be improved.

Music colleges are a significant expense for the majority of students, so taking a few hours to ensure most students had an enjoyable experience is time well spent.

You can read about our alumni success and their experiences at Atlanta Institute of Music And Media. Also, our online programs have their curriculums at hand so that you can read what the programs consist of and if they sound like what you are looking for!
